Terms and conditions for Catcars.co.uk 

Point 2 (payment)are void at the current time as Catcars doesn't have access to card services.

The following terms and conditions relate to the hiring of all our services by either ourselves or our appointed agents.

It is a condition of any booking that the customer has fully read and agreed to all our terms and conditions, then clarified any queries relating to them prior to using our websites or traveling with us. Using the websites for Catcars.co.uk  and any subsequent services booked constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and conditions.

Catcars.co.uk , we reserve the right to change any advertised prices quoted on our websites, we reserve the right to quote and charge on an individual basis.

1 Bookings.

Please give us as much notice as possible to enable us to provide a professional service, a service which delivers its clients on time for their appointments. We may ask for a deposit of upto 50% of the total price for minibus or chauffeur services. Should Catcars  (to be known as but not limited to 'we','us', 'the company','our') cancel a booking where we have taken a deposit due to operating difficulties then any deposit paid will be fully refunded. The Company cannot be liable for the cancellation of any of its services howsoever caused, and the hirer accepts this condition when booking our services. The hirer having paid a deposit may cancel a booking by giving 48 hours notice, if all our terms and conditions have been met then a full refund will be given. If the hirer gives less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation then no refund will be given. Any bookings under taken for vehicle outside of our fleet require us to take a full payment up front and any cancellation is subject to the 3rd party companies booking / cancellation policies plus an administrational fee for our time and expenses.

2 Payment.

The balance of any monies remaining to be paid to the company, must be made prior to the commencement of travel, in either cash or cheque (to the driver) Where a cheque is used we ask that the account holders address is written on the back of the cheque. Credit & Debit card payment are accepted by prior agreement with the company. Our terms and conditions for card use are laid out below.

We accept the following cards through our merchant services, which are provided by Barclays Bank. Visa, Mastercard, Delta, American Express, switch, we also accept visa electron and solo but only where the card holders details are registered within the mainland uk.

a) All credit card / debit card payments should be made by telephone to the office during our regular office hours, prior to commencement of travel.

b) A handling charge of 5% will be added to the advertised cost of any transfer where a credit / debit card transaction is taken for either a deposit or full / final payment.

c) Credit / Debit card refunds will be made to the original credit / debit card providing that all of the terms and conditions have been adhered to. This process can take upto 30 days.

d) Payment by credit / debit card is accepted by the company at its own discretion and we reserve the right to refuse to accept payment by this method without giving reason.

e) All fraudulent activities and attempts to misuse credit / debit cards will be reported to the Police.

3 General Conditions of hire.

a) Prices quoted on our website or via the telephone are for single drop off / pick up to or from a designated destination.

b) No food or Alcoholic Drinks can be consumed in any / all  of our vehicles.

c) As by law we are required to enforce a no smoking policy in any / all of our vehicles.

d) It is within the drivers discretion to refuse to carry a / any passenger who becomes abusive, or subjects the driver to (any of the following or more) Threatening behavior either emotional, physical or psychological. Either prior to or part way through a transfer.

e) The driver will allow 15minutes for each pick-up (not applicable to airports, see separate details for this) after which he will apply our standard waiting charge of £20 per hour charged at 1/2 hourly intervals. A counter charge or claim made against a driver who is late will be refused.

f) The hirer(s) are responsible for any damage caused to themselves or person(s) in their charge.

g) Any damage caused to the vehicle(s) will be charged accordingly. All out of pocket expenses i.e (List to include but not limited to) loss of earnings, vehicle excess, window replacements, cost of replacement vehicle...A Valeting charge of £100 will be charged for any illness in any vehicle, however it is caused.

h) The company accepts no liability for either itself or it representatives for the loss or damage to any property or belongings whilst traveling in any vehicle.

i) No refunds will be made, nor reductions to account clients for part transfers.

j) We ask that all persons using our services including any forums on our website, telephone numbers or e-mails are genuine customers, that any comments left are of a none personal nature, that if they are intended to cause (list to include but not limited to) insult, harm or intimidation that the company reserves the right to pursue whatever course of action it deems appropriate, legal and lawful. Any misrepresentation in regards to the website, telephones, or post to our offices will be forwarded to the police, local authorities, or our solicitors.

4 Other Terms on conditions.

a) The company reserves the right to appoint an agent or 3rd party to carry out some, part or all of a transfer where necessary, the company, its agents or appointed representatives do not guarantee any of the services, that the company or it directors cannot be held responsible or liable for non-operation of any advertised services.

b) For Airport transfers, where we are due to pick up at a specified airport, we include a waiting time of 60 minutes in the charges, after this time we reserve the right to charge waiting time at a rate of £20 per hour, at 1/2 hourly intervals, this is in addition to any car parking charges that become due from the time the plane lands. 

c) All airport flight arrivals are monitored and there is no extra charge where a flight is delayed, however if the flight is delayed by more than 3 hours  the company reserve the right to reschedule or help find an alternative carrier.

d) Where a client misses a connection or return flight to the designated airport then it remains the responsibility of the hirer to inform us immediately. We agree that where the driver has not left home there will be no extra charge. Where a driver has left home then our local pricing policy comes into effect, i.e £1.35 per mile, plus £20 waiting time charged at 1/2 hourly intervals, plus any airport  carpark fees.

e) Waiting time at any non-airport address is 15 minutes, after this time a charge of £20 per hour at 1/2 hourly interval is charged, after telephone and address contact are tried we will wait a further 35 minutes at which point the company or its agents reserve the right to remove any vehicle and its driver, with the full cost of the transfer to be accepted by the hirer.

f) The company reserves the right to change the cost of a booking if it was quoted for a specific named airport and a flight is diverted to an alternate destination.

g) We class luggage as being 33inches by 24 inches or less, and less than 28kg in weight, where this is exceeded then we would expect prior contact to the office within its hours and that assistance is given to the driver in loading and unloading.

h) All commercial account clients read and accept these terms and conditions, that all account are settled within 21 days of an invoice being produced.

i) If a hirer or client decides to make their own arrangement after previously booking our services (and not canceling them through the appropriate process) will be come liable to the full charge of the transfer + any additional costs.

5) Travel conditions

The company or its agents cannot be held liable or responsible for any loss arising from any unforeseen circumstances  (Listed but not exclusive to) delay caused by traffic (planned or other) breakdown of a vehicle, driver illness, weather disruptions or force majeure.

a) We will post or email on request any bookings made on receipt of this the hirer or client is to check all the details any amendments will then result in a subsequent booking confirmation being sent, the company will not be liable as a result where incorrect booking details have been supplied or recorded. 

6) Copyright and website content.

All the information contained within this website have been produced by the company it is protected by copywrite 2007,2008 &2009, No part of this website may be reproduced in whole or part without the expressed written consent of the company.

All written material has been written by the company and any similarity to any known documents published or not is purely coincidental.

The company reserves the right to remove any details on its website without fear of penalty where it is deemed to have infringed any copyright laws now or in the future.
